Product Description

The multiple Eisner Award-winning creative team behind "Criminal" conclude their harsh and uncompromising super-spy tale, shot through with both noir and black humour! What little was left of Holden Carver's life has been torn apart. On the run from his former colleagues in International Operations, on the run from his 'friends' in Tao's organisation, he's a man with his back to the wall. But when John Lynch, the only man who knows Holden's true nature, offers him one last job - with the ultimate payoff - can Holden afford to refuse? Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, the acclaimed creators of "Criminal", conclude the shattering tale of super-spy Holden Carver! Warning: Adults Only.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great follow up to a great original, 11 Mar 2011

This review is from: Sleeper Season Two (Paperback)
Brubaker & Phillips carry on where they left off with Sleeper vol 1, if you enjoyed the first book then you will definitely like the second one. Carver is now fully entrenched in Tao's operation but his old boss John Lynch is back and wants Carver to come in from the cold, the tale plays out with Carver being used as a pawn in the game between his two masters and trying to figure out how to get out of it alive. I'm not going to say anymore other than read this book you will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gritty and powerful., 11 Dec 2009
This review is from: Sleeper Season Two (Paperback)
Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips have created a masterpiece of comic noir. This book should be given to those snobs who do not believe comics are anything other than superheroes flying all over the place. Gritty and powerful, take it with you wherever you. It's up there with the best.

I really like this graphic novel. It's dark and twisted and yet still links into the mainstream.
