Like many peeps out there in TV land - I thought (and still think) Sleeper Cell (The Enemy Is Here) - Series One, was "The Best" TV - I have seen in ages.

The absolute and stark honesty and uncompromising dialogue, theme(s), the believability of the characters the editing, use of colouring, use of music etc - the whole thing put it not only head and shoulders above an overlong, gizmo/technology infested - characterless 24 - only adds to the frustration that I felt when purchasing this SoundTrack CD. For some reason Ethan Reiff & Cyrus Voris have 'failed' to include the opening theme to the series - (composed by Nick Green) - It is without doubt; when compared to the tracks on this CD 'The Best' piece of music connected with the series, and yet they have seen fit to not nclude it.

It is the opening theme that 'sets the mood' of this wonderful and hugely entertaining show.

I bought the CD because I wanted that track - and was quite happy to pay the price of a full CD just for that one track, thinking well there's bound to be a few others in there that are worth a listen also, which there are - about 6 of the 12 tracks in all: Higher Purpose, Ayn al Aquin,Momento Mori, Face the Music, A Life of Struggle and Tic Toc.

But as I say tehy have omitted the best of the music used in the series, which is a shame (a) Because I wouldn't have bought the CD had I known and (b) Because just as Sleeper Cell makes 24 redundant, so the 'Opening Theme' is way, way better than all the other music on the CD. Sorry I wish I could report differently, but that's how I hear it!.

Sure this CD does not contain the theme tune, and on buying it I was very disappointed. However the tracks here by Paul Haslinger (6 in all) are even better and more emotive, and the final track Beginning to End is a particular highlight. Unfortunately the rest of the album has filler such as a pointless faithless remix, which really detracts from the excellent bits. Effectively only half of the album is the chilling evocative music that I was so looking forward to.

Had this soundtrack included the opening theme, and had less of the american tosh that appears on so many soundtracks, I would have been more impressed. However, I still think this is worth buying simply for the tracks by Paul Haslinger.

Don't buy it! 27 May 2007
By Al de Orleans - Published on Amazon.com

Like the other reviewers say, this cd does not contain the theme song. What's the point of making a cd about a show and not have the theme song. There are probably only two songs worth anything on this cd. Don't waste your money.

Where's the score? 9 Jun. 2011
By higgins - Published on Amazon.com

Sleeper Cell is largely scored by authentic sounding middle-eastern music... and the soundtrack delivers club beats, some soul stuff, light rap and slow pop songs? There's no theme and only track #3 has any resemblance to what I was expecting from this.
Another great Paul Haslinger 21 Nov. 2007
By Marie Nachtmann - Published on Amazon.com

Well, Paul Haslinger's music is great. Always. The other songs selected are not bad. They're good. Some are very good. But to be honest: I remebered other songs from the series that I hoped would be on the CD. How about the title song??? That's what's really bothering me. That soundtracks often do not include title songs or end credit songs. Or songs from trailers. What about that great music from American Gangster's trailer? Is it on the CD? No. But all in all, Sleeper Cell's soundtrack is very good stuff. A mixture of world, alternative, Arabic and Western music styles. How about a second CD?
Confused. 14 April 2007

To the reviewer before me... is the show's theme song, you claim is on here, really on here? I bought the cd for the show's theme and it's not even on the soundtrack.....

Where's the theme music.....blown away? 9 May 2007
By Swansea Jack - Published on Amazon.com

I bought this for the theme music and it's not there. I feel a bit ripped off. Can anyone tell me why?

Track 1 though would have been a good replacement the original theme.
