I really liked season 1 so decided to buy season 2. Its good, but not as good as 1. Sleeper Cell is like 24 but more character-driven than plot-driven, more gritty but perhaps not as slick. What I like about Sleeper Cell (particularly the 1st season) is that it often tries to differentiate between extremism and what The Quran or Islam actually says about issues. For anyone knowledgeable about the differences you will know what I mean. What I dislike about Sleeper Cell is the unecessary nudity/sex scenes. Sometimes you feel its just added for the shock/sensationalist value, not for storytelling reasons, which is quite common in programming these days. Overall, Sleeper Cell Season 2 is worth a watch if you really liked season 1.

That's about the sum of it. If you liked the first offering of Sleeper Cell, then you'll probably be almost as entertained this time round. Same formula: different target. Inevitably, a second serving of the same dish tends to diminish its impact - but that is no fault of the dish itself. There is, in fact, little to distinguish part 2 from part 1. Part 2 isn't really any worse than part 1, and certainly benefits from the discipline of a shorter running time. It's just that deja vu problem that hasn't really been overcome here.
Never mind, if you haven't seen part 1, then this worthy of your attention (if you like this sort of thing). If you have seen part 1, it's perfectly watchable, but nothing new.

Wow, this is an amazing series. Very bleak but brilliantly acted. A great story, would love to know if Darwin survives?!
