Product Description

The 21st century is the age of insomnia. The stresses of life have so multiplied in these times that sleeplessness has become truly epidemic. Check out the bookstore. There are hundreds of books to help you manage the pressure of life and there is more than books. They have DVD’s reproducing sounds of forests, oceans, birds and rainfall. They have yoga and eastern mysticism, not to mention stress balls, stress beads, and body rollers that you roll up-and-down your head and your back to relieve stress! What does that tell us? I think it tells us that many people in our society, and Christians are not exempt, find it hard to cope with the anxieties of life. It’s no wonder we can’t sleep. None of us are immune to stressful, anxious days and fretful days can lead to sleepless nights. “How to Sleep Like a Baby” is a meditation on Psalm 3. It is God’s prescription for those nights when your mind won’t stop thinking about the struggles of the day.

Not really that deep or helpful. Can't say that I'm sleeping like a baby unless you mean the restless type that is up half the night!

5.0 out of 5 stars Breaks Down Psalm 3 28 May 2012
By Jill H. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
"How to Sleep Like a Baby: A Meditation of Psalm 3" is a book that will help readers through sleepless nights. It breaks down Psalm 3 and shows how King David prayed to God when the circumstances that he faced robbed him of sleep, how he meditated about who God is, and how God answered.

I liked the additional verses that this book highlighted, they calmed me. I slept good the night/morning I read this book, although I didn't go right to sleep, it took me awhile to feel calm enough to go to sleep.

This book would be good to keep handy for people who have trouble sleeping, or even if they think they will have a sleepless night. It will probably vary when readers should pick up this book to read before they go to sleep since some of us have more difficulty falling asleep than others.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book as a free Kindle e-book. I was not required to write a review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Do not pass it up... 7 Feb 2012
By Lilly Maytree - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
SLEEP LIKE A BABY is a book everyone should have on their nightstand. With simple, straight-forward explanations, it describes how King David (that "man after God's own heart) dealt with the worst of sleepless nights. This is interesting enough, all by itself. But the author, Bob Saffrin, includes specific scriptures that literally carry the peace of God straight to the heart.

His unique method for using them to find a peaceful, refreshing sleep, no matter what might be keeping you awake, is a wonderful blessing. Not only does this little book hold great comfort, it is a gift from God that can be used again, and again, any time you need it. Do not pass it up!

I read the book and did as Bob suggested and meditated on the scriptures. I always try to find at least one thing I can take with me and I found a new favorite verse. Thanks for being a vessel, Bob.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read Psalm 4:8 and you will understand this book! 2 May 2012
By TLC - Published on Amazon.com

This book tells you how to deal with restless nights as well as nights when you lay there scared and worried. I called my sister to tell her about this book because it meant so much to me. Instead of laying awake worrying, you should take your mind off of your own problems and pray for others whom you know have problems. This little jewel of a book really helps to show you how to get a peaceful nights sleep. I totally recommend it--you will not be sorry. It is one of my favorites.
