Great book, fixed my sleep problem very easily after years of trying many different approaches. Blue light therapy in the morning and amber glasses in the evening to block blue light - incredibly effective!

Having developed sleeping difficulties about the time of my retirement I started searching for solutions. What finally worked for me was Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. I first learned about it in Dr. Jacobs' book "Say Goodnight to Insomnia" and his parallel online CBT-I website. They really helped. However, Peter Smith in his book "Sleep Better with Natural Therapies" takes a much more holistic approach and his treatment of the Relaxation Response (a key element for me) was the best I've seen. I would recommend both but if I had to choose only one I would go with Peter Smith.

Update: I have rigorously followed Peter Smith's program with particular emphasis on his implementation of the relaxation response. I am a new person, sleeping like I did 20 years ago (great!), have got my energy back and am actively exercising again. I know I still have some healing to do, but the change in my health is phenomenal. Buy the book and commit to the program if you have sleep issues. I would give the book ten stars if I could.
