Amazing album! Every song is amazing on this record. Great album to follow up Speaker Of The Dead! The vinyl its self is coloured orange im not sure if its meant to be like this but the disk feels quite tough and very good quality. MDMA is a more melodic song but is still very powerful and meaningful.

HASH(0x94725e58) out of 5 stars 1st timer....Love it! 6 Aug. 2012

I've heard of them but didn't pay attention until this past weekend when I saw them on the Tresspass America tour. They and this 2012 recording has a hint of the following: Korn, Suicide Silence, Mushuggah...It's heavy. Good stuff.

HASH(0x8e9847a4) out of 5 stars feels like a step back from Speaker 4 May 2012
By HEF - Published on Amazon.com
i was very happy with Speaker of the Dead. i thought most songs had a hook and the production was hyper polished. Slave to the Game feels like 1 of 2 things for me: it was rushed or it's made up of the songs that didn't make it on the last couple albums. the intensity of Speaker can be found on Slave, but it lacks the hooks that drew me in to Speaker. nothing on this album stands out for me except protoman. fyi, this is the 1st album with drummer Mark Castillo, whose work can be heard in a handful of other bands, most notably bury your dead. i was bummed that he left byd, but when i heard he landed in emmure, i was excited to hear this album. unfortunately for me, the music on this disc is a little stock and the guitar and drum work don't really blow me away. i'll still look forward to the next disc and i'll catch them on tour if they come through philly.

HASH(0x94728210) out of 5 stars Fantastic 11 Oct. 2012
By Bill - Published on Amazon.com
I think this is easily their best album. Whatever you liked about Emmure before is still present and just got better. It's filled with typical breakdowns and heavy riffs to headbang to, and has got some really catchy parts. I like every song on here and often this is my go-to for popping a CD in the car. Highly recommended to any already-fan of Emmure and recommended to anyone who likes hardcore metal.

HASH(0x9472839c) out of 5 stars Slave to the Game 13 April 2012
By Chris - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Definately an upgrade from Speaker of the Dead, the song "MDMA" is a more experimental approach to their song writing
formula, but one of their best songs on the CD including "A.I".

Their no Tony Danza or Veil of Maya, their music is entertaining and brutal. But a great CD to check out
and to me another solid release. Also loving the Marvel/DC references.
