Format:Mass Market Paperback
Quite obviously, this is NOT your classic Celbridge's book about female submission with a lot of spanking scenes etc etc - here we have a heady, luscious opposite where women are on top, BUT the book being both entertainingly mock-erudite and cleverly unrealistic, you won't find an icy S/M psychopatological account either: this is erotic domination at it's best. Men are used and abused in every way, but always with a "healthy" erotic purpose and the progression of the scenes is sometimes mind-blowing as well as the cumulative process of pleasures and punishments perfectly intermingled. The other side of Yolanda Celbridge and an interesting and fully developed one too!

This is a very odd book. It is obviously intended not to be taken seriously, but couldn't really be regarded as humorous. It veers to and from the obscene to sesquipedalian cod historical asides that seem to have been lifted verbatim from Wikipedia, with a few improbable sentences added. To say that the characters were one dimensional would be to accord them much greater depth than they actually had. Even the action - which, after all, is the point of this sort of book - was dully repetitive, and often anatomically impossible. Why did I even finish it? Well sometimes the writing was unintentionally funny. For example, an official, "pretended not to raise his eyebrows"! How? If one doesn't raise one's eyebrows one isn't really pretending. The text was littered with such infelicities, which did, at least, afford some mild amusement. There are better books, even in this genre, and I would give this one a miss.

Ahhh this has it all. One of the main characters Ben is caned, whipped, made to cross dress and perform numerous degrading acts to a plethora of cruel mistresses. My favorite was Mistress Lefthera. She unquestionably is an expert at psychological degradation and humiliation. She makes Ben do the most perverse things for her pleasure as well as others. I found myself wanting to kneel and worship Mistress Lefthera the more I got into this book. This book has some wonderfully kinky moments that will titillate and have you gasping and begging for more. If you like women in control, who should be, you'll like this book.
