This is a justifiably angry book, which confronts all of us in Europe with the ultimate shame: we stood aside whilst fellow Europeans were slaughtered as part of an ethnically driven programme of genocide - and we did NOTHING to stop it. Read it and then explain to me why, when people were dying in England protesting about the export of calves, there were no meaningful attempts to stop the slaughter in Bosnia, and the dismemberment of an independent, multi cultural state. Has history taught us nothing? We should have bombed the Serbs then, and saved the world a lot of anguish (and a few thousand lives into the bargain). A great book, which shames us all.
