I enjoyed the film a lot. I'm not going give too much away regarding the plot but its smart, almost comic booky which worked well, vast array of characters which were for the most part pulled off really well. The acting at times suffers a little and you can tell they aren't all professional actors but no one was awful. The films stands up there with some of the better horror movies, it's certainly a lot better than 8/10 of the ones you will find in blockbuster and is well worth a watch. The idea was certainly worthy of a bigger budget which understandably isn't always easy to come by (though judging some of the awful film ideas which have had maybe millions spent on them this is debatable) and doesn't really suffer from it. The location was great and the colours worked and soundtrack was very professional.

Out of 10 I would give the film a 7. I enjoyed it.

Entertaining and interesting story line which draws you into some excellent blood and gore!

Both my wife and I really enjoyed this film which was only let down by the sound quality and on occasion the acting was...interesting...

Given the fact that according to IMDB this was made with a budget of less than £5000 (and I hear a rumour that it was more like £2000) it really is a remarkably good achievement. I came to this movie with quite low expectations but found that all of them were met and/or exceeded. I think this is likely to become a cult classic in its own right and hopefully spawn some more sequels. I've seen plenty of bigger budget movies that are far far worse so this was a nice entertaining surprise!

Would I watch this again? Yes. Would I recommend this? Definitely.

After reading the contrasting reviews on here I felt I had to put my opinion on, having just watched it. Basically, if you are after something a bit different that's interesting, intriguing and still has the blood and tension you'd want from a horror film then give Slasher House a go. Being an independent film its obviously budget so some of the acting suffers, as does the sound editing at times but if you stick with it the film is a good watch as we see a few serious nutcases let out of their cells, maybe for some sinister reason. I won't give to much away.

Overall, Slasher House doesn't always do what you expect and I think that's why it got some negative reviews, some people like to know what they're getting. Even if it is so generic it becomes boring(one of the reviewers said Spiderhole is good?!) but each to their own. If you like independent horror because you like that it doesn't always play by the rules then check out Slasher House.

Genuinely one of the best horror films I have seen in a long while, and I've seen quite a few. Belongs up there with the classic slasher films of old. Without giving too much away, the plot keeps you interested and on the edge of your seat throughout, with a climactic ending. The visuals in the film are unique and the character design, setting and effects are homages to some of the different sub-genres. Definitely worth a watch. Can't wait to see what the director has planned next.

Anything with a killer clown on the front cover and being a British independent Horror to boot all adds up to 5 out of 5 stars.

This is the worst horror film I have ever seen and I've seen a lot. The premise of a girl waking up in a strange place battling psychopaths trying to kill her off was intriguing -- I was very disappointed with the result.

The reviewer who said it was a "slashtastic bloodfest" should be done under the Trades Descriptions Act. There was barely any blood, and what there was wasn't worth worrying about. The acting was hammy, the script was dire, the nauseating green tint it was filmed in was just awful, a competent actress was wasted and the excessive make up on her was just bizarre. Exactly what homage the filmmakers thought they were paying I don't know. It was not remotely frightening and frankly how it got an 18 is totally beyond me.

Of course, this is only my opinion -- you might disagree. I like to support Indie horror films but there have been many far better British ones made on a similarly low budget, such as Spiderhole for instance. If you like clown horror, check out Ross Noble's latest comedy horror offering, Stitches, instead.

Thank heavens I didn't pay full price for it. I wouldn't even sell my copy on and inflict this on someone else. I only sat through it out of sheer fascination as to how it even got a release.
