5.0 out of 5 stars A top debut, 14 Dec 2002

AN excellent story from a first-time author. A combination of warm friendship, golfing enthusiasm, and anger at the sometime injustices of the NHS, all woven with witty writing.
Looking forward to the sequel!

4.0 out of 5 stars Incisive Combative Brave Accurate, 15 Nov 2002

Does the National Health Service deiver for all, whether you wear dungarees, a suit, or you are a tweed? James Morrow knows it does not, because of something called post-code prescription.
It's not fair, but then life isn't either. The doctor exposes the shame, but leaves you feeling uplifted with the story of triumph in spite of, rather than because of the system.
