My intention was to give this two stars, but that is supposed to mean I hated it (not so). I am surprised at the length devoted by some reviewers on this, essentially to say it's a bad movie (I don't disagree) and sadly about to muck in likewise, found it quite entertaining all the same.
At least wasn't bored as much by it as with "To the limit", Anna Nicole Smith's similarly abortive attempt at stardom. "Skyscraper" practically is a textbook exercise on how NOT to make a thriller, so inept in all departments it unintentionally becomes hilarious. Low-tech explosions combine with high-rise violence to produce a dumb farrago that, having left my brains behind and caught in an uncritical mood, turned out shamefully enjoyable for me.
A terrorist group, from somewhere possibly like French Belgian Congo (yes there are terrible accents too) bizarrely believing in "The American way of life" capture an all-purpose missile computer control device housed in an executive case. After some bloody shoot-outs they hole themselves up with hostages in a corporate skyscraper block. Enter Anna Nicole who works for an Escort agency (no, not that kind of Escort agency) as an unlikely helicopter pilot who ferries wealthy business men from block to block. So far it's fairly plausible...
When she loses radio contact she lands on the aforementioned skyscraper to search for a suitable office downfloors where she can access a 'phone. A terrorist guard appears. She jumps down on to a window cleaner's gantry and barely escapes as she smashes a pane to fall into the building. From there on it's a cat-and-mouse situation with the occupying gang.

Skyscraper. What can I say? I bought this film as I am a huge fan of Anna Nicole Smith. Having watched it numerous times, I enjoyed the action and edgy "what's around the corner" method of the film. I love Anna. And I love action movies. So the two combined make an incredible mix! Give it a spin, see what you think. I enjoyed it throughout... It also has Anna in the shower, Anna with a gun and Anna taking out the bad guys. Can't be bad! Beautiful for what it is...

It was simply an awful film.....but to be truthful I only bought it because it featured the US Bank Tower, my favourite skyscraper.....so it gets 3 stars for that....

2.0 out of 5 stars Better than her other movie! 15 Jan 2004
By B-MAN - Published on Amazon.com
In Anna's final movie (why?), she plays Carrie the helicopter pilot with fake fingernails. "Skyscraper" (1997) is directed by the same genius who brought us Anna's other blockbuster -1995's "To The Limit". Both movies are similar(wow, really?) in that Anna uses a gun, she gets naked a few times, and attempts to act too much. Oh yeah, there's also a really evil guy and a lot of explosions. If I must choose between the two for entertainment value, I'm going with Skyscraper. Not only does Anna have more nude scenes in this one, her acting (and everyone elses) is even more hilarious (if you actually watch it with sound!). Also there aren't as many long stretches of "acting" and "explosions". Bottom line, a laughably bad acted movie with breasts, guns, and things exploding. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fat, Fabulous, and Full of Prescription Drugs! 19 Mar 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This movie will go down in history as one of the best "worst" movies ever mad. Anna Nicole looks like she never quit eating fried chicken during the entire shoot. The dialogue and plot are hilarious, and the acting so over-the-top that it makes you want to watch it over and over again. Pay special attention to Anna Nicole's earpiece that was used to feed the actress lines, as set rumors have it that she was in such a drug haze during production she couldn't remember her lines and sometimes had to be propped up! I LOVE IT!

4.0 out of 5 stars Anna: You'll get her beauty, not her acting. 15 Jun 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Skyscraper is a typical Hollywood Movie, with lots of action and little to think about. Anna Nicole Smith did well. She's not an actress, she is just a very beautiful woman spreading into new fields. If you are looking forward to seeing Anna making some good nude scenes and her amazing body, you will find it. If you ae looking for an Oscar winning movie, you may start looking around for a better one.

1.0 out of 5 stars It didn't "Die Hard" enough, and the soft porn nude scenes are embarrassing 8 Mar 2007
By John D. Page - Published on Amazon.com

As bad as this is, and as horrible as Anna is in this junk the man who co produced and stared as the bad guy is even worse. He stumbles on Shakespeare's prose and delivers the lines like he has rocks in his mouth and is in awe of the fact he can say them at all! Frankly, so am I. That said, this is a very funny movie about a bimbo pilot, bad guys in leather pants and some "do hickey" that will "change the balance of power" .... un ...yeah..... ok. The soft core nude sex scenes are more funny than hot and are the only time Anna is able to act. At least when Andy Sadris ("Guns , "Hard Ticket To Hawaii, "Savage Beach") made his movies like this fun and funny)on purpose, and the had many playmates not just one. All in all this is one to catch on h.b.o. after midnight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Annie Got A Gun 9 Feb 2007
By Clint Arthur - Published on Amazon.com

This movie is amazing if you are any kind of fan of ANS.

This is perhaps the best performance of her entire acting career.

The zooming in closeups of her aiming that mini canon are worth

the entire price of admission alone -- and the cleavage is a bonus.
