I've had this product for nearly 2 years now. It's straightforward to set up if you are into diy and have the right equipment, but you do need to be reasonably adept and have the time and patience to do it properly. Aligning the dish can be tricky and takes practice, there are a number of satellites very close together and the satellite-finder supplied does not tell you which satellite is which - you have to guess. Owning a good compass is a must.

After setup one of the first things I did was to wipe the pre-loaded epg and perform a full re-scan, building my own epg and compiling a list of favourites - avoid anything that isn't free (it gives you the option) as it is pointless storing scrambled frequencies. Over the last 2 years, more and more channels have become available on the Astra satellite including Channel 4 and Five (Amazon, take note!), so re-scanning at regular intervals is advisable. Almost all the Freesat channles are now available, lists of channels and frequencies are freely available over the Internet.

Picture and sound are very good, I use rgb output which is the best for my setup, other outputs are available on this box. The remote is not good, very hesitant and not at all responsive. I changed mine twice before realising the problem is with the box and not the remote itself. Something you have to live with.

Also, don't leave this unit on standby, it eats power and gets very hot even on standby, always switch it off when not in use.
