Skylanders =

A good game, mainly for younger kids, but older children and parents will enjoy it. Basically its a typical run around kill everything adventure. Its not too hard to complete all the chapters (far too easy for elder children). It takes longer to return to the levels and find the hidden treasues etc. Each chapter is quite short - exceptionally short when compared to Mario style game levels.

There are 8 types of Skylanders. Its very important to have at least one of each. Any Skylander can play any level - but certain doors have to be opened by characters of the requested type. If a Skylander is dying - just swap it with a different one! Thats a good reason for having numerous characters for the harder levels.

The more you play, the character gains powers and becomes much swtronger. Also the more money you find,means you can buy extra strong weapons!

Buying a triple pack if characters is cost effective. Try and get at least two covering your missing abilities (air, magic, etc). Each character has different abilities so getting more does add to the game. Note: buying the adventure packs opens new game chapters! Enjoy. It is worth the cost (just don't pay inflated prices due to short stocks).

Definitely the best bargin pack to buy these Skylander's characters in a pack of three, my son loves them to bits and so the collection begins!

In our house we love Skylanders. Yes it isn't cheap as to play it properly you need all the elements, but we're buying a character a month to spread the cost.
My son who is 5 can handle this well. I myself and not a gamer and so the fun graphics and overall comic book type affair really works for me.

Thumbs up and would definitely suggest this to families with kids under the age of 11.
