5.0 out of 5 stars "Rothmans Football Yearbook" 2009-2010, 12 Aug 2009
By
Mr. P. D. Roberts "puzzle haven" (Edinburgh, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Although now called the "Sky Sports Football Yearbook" to older collectors etc it will still always be known as the "Rothmans Football Yearbook". Still as good, if not better, than previous editions Jack Rollin and his team have put together an absolutely superb factual work which is indispensable to all football fans. Congratulations to all concerned and happy 40th anniversary !

4.0 out of 5 stars The UK football bible, 11 Sep 2009
This review is from: Sky Sports Football Yearbook 2009-2010 (Paperback)
As a full and complete document of domestic football in 2008/2009, then this yearbook is indispensible.

One criticism it is becoming a little bloated (50+ pages on the Blue Square premier league??). It could reduce some of the detail on information that doesn't change from year to year, or at least keep it briefer.

The one area that could be due a little expansion is the coverage of European football. A little more information than the results and teams plus lists of qualifiers for this season's competitions would be interesting.

4.0 out of 5 stars For Statto's....., 20 July 2010
This review is from: Sky Sports Football Yearbook 2009-2010 (Paperback)
A good book for all the football statto's out there. Yes it's alright to admit it.
It is good to keep up to date with football leagues throughout the world ans if you want to check details on season 2009/2010 it will surely be in here, as well as more historical facts on league winners, world cups etc.
My only slight complaint in this book is that it is very centred on English football, which is fine up to a point, but sometimes i might want more details on a Scottish club rather than pages on English non league and regional teams.Mitre Midas Training Football
