This is the official Sky+ remote control and therefore works perfect with your Sky+ box. Being a Sky+ remote it will work with Sky+ only, not normal Sky or Sky HD. This is a Revision 8 remote and is therefore the very latest model so if you want to program it to also work your TV it should work with most of the latest TVs.

I ordered this Saturday 9th August and it was delivered by Wed 13th.
Cannot believe this GENUINE SKY item was so reasonable.
To anyone out there, don't search for a better price 'cos you will not find one. As others have said, genuine SKY+ remote with batteries.
Absolutely FAULTLESS. Thanks to Amazon for the link.

At the time of my purchase the website is misleadingly displaying a picture of a Genuine Sky+ remote control and describing it as being "by Sky" (check out the area above the star rating). Some reviewers also refer to it as Genuine and Official. However this is NOT a genuine Sky+ Remote Control nor is it endorsed in any way by Sky.
I cannot say who manufactures this remote control because it comes in a jiffy bag with no other packaging or instructions.
What I can say is that the materials used, look and feel cheap. The remote is slightly smaller and much lighter than the genuine item and has slightly smaller buttons. It comes with cheap batteries not Duracell as you get with the genuine item. The battery compartment cover is made of brittle plastic not the non slip rubber that you get on the genuine remote.
The back of the remote is also covered with peculiar raised pimples, it's a bit like holding someone's hand that is covered in warts. I can't comment as to how well the remote works as I immediately repackaged it to be returned for a refund due to it not being as advertised and displayed on the website. I have purchased a genuine Sky+ remote for £22.49. This is £8 more, but to me it's worth it because it's much better quality and will last for years. If you want to save £8 then at least you can now be fully aware of what you are getting or in this case not getting for your money.
