The real Channel 5! 26 Nov 2000
BSkyB, when launched, was in debt. The fascination with American programming and football coverage gave the company a highly entertaining feel, but overall not very BBC. Too young, too inexperienced and too American... well Australian actually!

This book charts the lengths BSkyB would go to in an attempt to kick start the Satellite industry (Cable industry in the US). In America mulit channel viewing was something you grew up with, in the UK, multi-channel viewing meant a loss in quality and a waste of money.

BSkyB stood at the forefront of an entire industry, and even now are unparralled because of the events in this book. A brilliant read with a fascinating into what made BSkyB the huge un-ignorable company it is today... the REAL channel 5!
