I can't explain just how enduring this collection is. I have it on a tape I bought as a ten year old on a market stall in the early 1980s - and it still amazes me how vibrant and elevating the musical arrangements are. The group use a very enlivening mixture of classical instuments with modern touches such as synth very successfully. The Bach Fantasy and Fantasia are really joyful pieces building to thrilling ends, and To Yelasto Pedi is a cracking Greek folk foot tapper. Berlioz's March to the Scaffold and Ride of the Wagner's Valkyrie are both great accumulating tunes where the anticipation grows, and for a contemplative moods there is the beautiful Skylark. I can totally recommend this.
