Product Description

Product Description

Skwidge is a young squirrel who was born without a tail. Unhappy with being laughed at because he can't jump or do things the other squirrels do, he decides to run away from home and find himself a tail. Along the way he meets other woodland creatures with different tails - like Justlee Proud, the peacock and Bea Iggeers, the rabbit - who try to help him.
Just when things seem hopeless, Skwidge comes to the rescue of a baby beaver and realizes that being without a tail doesn't make him less of a squirrel.

A beautifully illustrated story with a simple yet highly engaging theme. This book teaches children so many different concepts. One of the key lessons I learned was it's Ok to be different. Definitely recommend this book to people who have young children.

We had a horse once with no tail, and the comments from some of the crowd were less than positive. However this horse was very competitive and always did well in the timed event. Judging the looks of anything or any creature is often easy, but accepting those that are different often stretches us, but also teaches us important lessons. This is a great book that entertains, and teaches, along with great illustrations. Purchase it and let your kids and even adults visit the important aspects of life through this book.

Cute story--Compilation of witty humor mixed with family values, and life lessons. Typographical errors should have been corrected before publishing, but the wonderful illustrations make up for grammatical errors. I really look forward to sharing this story with my great grand-children!

Illustrations are really good, and love the names of the characters! A lot of fun for us adults to share with our young ones. A few typos, but doesn't take away from the story. The story of Skwidge makes you laugh, smile, and nod your head in agreement. Recommend highly!
