Manufacturer's Description

Despite its outstanding frequency separation, crystal clear mids and highs, and enough bass to rock a mule"™s ass to the moon, the FMJ is not officially the favourite ear bud of everyone on Earth. Technically, the Skullcandy FMJ is only the official favourite bud of people with ears and personal style.

These were the first pair of relatively expensive headphones ive ever bought, so was a bit wary as to weather the extra cost would be worth it. I wanted ones that would control my new iPhone, and they work a dream. The sound is excellent, with plenty of bass, and they isolate the sound amazingly - none of my friends even know I'm listening!
Make sure you try all the different sizes of bud, as i was content with the standard ones, but after trying the small ones i would never go back. You get 3 sizes of rubber buds, and 2 of foam buds.

    Very much recommended...

This is going to be a short review. I'd agree with the other reviews that the mid-range is rather lacking, but I think that's subjective and probably depends on what kind of music you listen to.

One thing to be very wary of, is that although they have an in-line mic the button on it does not control the iPhone music playback as other headphones can.

Also I find that the supplied foam tips are too small, and with the cord being quite heavy they tend to get dragged out of your ears all the time. However I have now bought larger tips and they are fine.

I bought these headphones in August 09, it is now Oct 09 and they have broken. There is no visual damage to them, the left bud has just stopped working. This is ridiculous considering how much they cost.

The packaging comes with this promise of a lifetime warranty, but this is only available in the USA and Canada. I am still waiting to hear back from the European support office about what they are going to do (if anything). I wouldn't have bought these if I knew the warranty was not applicable in the UK.

That being said, when they did work, the sound quality was excellent. When in a phone call I had no complaints about not being able to hear me, and I could hear the other person clearly.
The only fault i could find with the sound was that it was a little too bass-rich.

Its a shame these broke as they were a good pair of headphones.
