4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome headphones not so great remote 9 Jan 2010
These headphones are truly exceptional in their quality and the cord is great for tangle free enjoyment. The problem is the remote isn't the same as the apple one that comes with the supplied headphones when bought. It's just plain ackward and difficult to use. The headphone plus is also straight not elbow so be careful or you'll be buying another pair sooner than expected. Would highly recommend for the audio quality but I'm still looking for a pair with a better remote control.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great looking and ok sound 4 Feb 2010
    Verified Purchase
This item was bought as a replacement for my Sennheiser CX50 which served me well for almost 2 years. Instead fo buying the same Sennheiser again, i thought ill buy something more fancy to go with my iphone 3gs. Retrospectively i should have stuck with the Sennheiser. The Skullcandy headphones are great looking, very lightweight and have a good sound. Bass comes through quite well and sound is not tinny. Mic is very leightweight too, so the weight does not make the earbuds fall out all the time. The mic has also an accept/play button, so the music can start without you taking the mp3 player out of your pocket.
On the downside, the mic is not very good, people on the other side of the phone cannot hear me clearly. The individual earbuds are also separated by the same length of cord. This is good if you like to hide the headphones under a jacket along with your mp3 player, but not when you go running with them as one side is always very long and uncomfortable (if you are anything like me and wear your mp3 player on an armband). The cord itself is quite stiff, which makes it difficult to stash it away easily. Its always tangling up and its very difficult to untangle because of its stiffness. I would recommend these for anyone who just wants to listen to music and occasionally speak on the phone. However its not for people who want to use it for all occasions, especially running.

Bought these about a year or so ago and had absolutely no problem with them until I upgraded to an iPhone 4.

In the past I used them with a Blackberry Bold and an iPhone 3GS and they were perfect.
The sound is good and I would often use them on long phone calls allowed me to be hands free while working.

I have just upgraded to an iPhone 4 and they do not work properly.
The sound is fine but the in line mic and button do not work at all.
You can be heard speaking and you hear a faint clicking when you do speak.
The button also does not answer the phone or perform any funtion with music.

If you dont have an iPhone 4 I would recommend them.

If you do have an iPhone 4 then you need to look elsewhere and get confirmation that whatever you do buy does work (which I now have to do!)

    1.0 out of 5 stars Durable? 7 Aug 2010
The blurb describes these as durable, well i bought mine in April and now 4 months later they are broken, i only get sound in alternate ears. Some may say that's a decent shelf life, i don't agree. i use them pretty much every day for my commute but i expect them to last longer than 4 months for 40. The issue is the headphone jack. As it is isn't L-shaped, warapping your earphones around your iphone/mp3 player stretches the wires and like i said the connection on mine appears to have come loose. Not a satisfied customer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Seriously do not buy these earphones! 27 Jan 2011
I first purchased these in-earphones in January 2010. Since then I have had to send them back to Dynamic Distribution (the UK supplier) three times!
They clearly get a lot of these returns as they never ask any questions or try to debate why their 40 product has failed. Often they don't even ask for proof of purchase!

The manufacturers claim that you can use these earphones for skiing, skating, skydiving, setting yourself on fire etc.
I don't use them for anything like this and personally I think casually walking around is too much for these to endure as mine tend to last 3/4 months at best.

In their defence they do boast some good sound and bass while they last. The foam buds block just about any sound out and music is crisp as intended.

Unfortunately their reliability is too much of an issue for these to be worth bothering with. After several emails to dynamic distribution I have swapped these for a pair of over ear
headphones (Skullycandy GI's) as they do not offer cash refunds. Sadly these have faults of their own and I can therefore not recommend SkullCandy to anyone.

My advice. Keep browsing. There are much better earphones out there and probably cheaper!

2.0 out of 5 stars Had 2 pairs, both went faulty. 17 Jan 2011
I had 2 pairs of these and while the sound was good they both went faulty very quickly. Just by putting them in my pocket 1 earphone stopped working with both sets.
They look indestructable but 1 little wire must get damaged very easily. Pity.

    3.0 out of 5 stars Great for 3 months 28 Dec 2010
The sound that comes out of these earphones are nothing i have ever experienced with any other in ear ear phones.
The only bad thing is they last around 3 months, no matter how good you take care of them. I think for the price its not worth it. Many of my friends have bought these ear phones in the past and have had the same problem with it,
