The latest audio adventure for paul mcgann's doctor who and his companion feisty northern girl lucie miller.

As usual:

this is a one part story complete in forty five minutes [approx]

The remainder of the disc contains fifteen minutes of interviews with cast and crew, and also a trailer for the next in this season of audios

There's no ongoing story in this season so this is something you can listen to without having heard the previous ones in the season

and the two leads are great and have a wonderful chemistry together and some great dialogue

story wise this is about a monastery on a strange alien world which is under siege from several groups for various reasons, not least one old soldier who has a score to settle. the doctor and lucie are caught in the crossfire and lucie has to face a few of her darkest fears. great material for actress sheridan smith who plays lucie, this, and she does it superbly.

Story wise though there's a bit much to take in here and whilst it's good it's not quite as good as the first three in the season, as you may need to listen to it more than once to take everything in. But the monsters are good and it's well written, so it's still a pretty good listen
