Spotted a pattern there ?

As I know and love Edinburgh and enjoy reading crime fiction, a friend recommended I begin to read the 'Skinner' books. To enjoy these books you must read them in sequence starting with Skinners Rules.
Quintin Jardine is by far the best author of crime fiction I have ever read and cannot understand why his books are so high up the 'charts'. This book is a great read and keeps you in suspense right to the last page.

PS: I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to my family, but really I can't put Jardine's books down, anyway you are able to fend for yourselves for a few days whilst I finish my next 'Skinner book'!!!

Corny but enjoyable crime thriller

I've read worse.
Bought this, the first of the Skinner books, on the basis of a favourable comparison to Ian Rankin. Sadly, that comparison was very wide of the mark. Read more
