Here we have Film 2000's release of Jon Killough's "Skinned Alive". J.R. Bookwalter (The Dead Next Door, Ozone, The Sandman) has found himself producing this low-budget gorefest, so you know exactly what to expect. From the start you encounter the typically bad acting and tongue-in-cheek script that we have come to expect from a Bookwalter film. If you're a fan of this type of B-movie splatter film, then this is your typical offering. Myself....I love 'em!

Ok, so we have another Ed Gein inspired horror film, which cries out The Texas Chainsaw Massacre from the start, but that's no bad thing, is it? It's not terribly original, or clever in anyway...but it makes up for it with the blood drenched splatter effects and comedy. The effects ring a reminder of "The Dead Next Door" and "Cradle Of Fear", with gratuitous gore done in a hands on, low budget, creative manner.

Certainly not one for the film connoisseur among us, but a great gory laugh for all the fans of this genre. Don't go shelling out a fortune for this film, but it is worth picking up if you can find it reasonably cheap.

This was an excellent film - if you're a fan of this type of thing. It started off a little lame but the end of the film more than made up for it - the bit with the Jehovas witness at the end was pretty cool. Its pretty funny throughout and well wort a watch if, as I said, you like your cheesy b-movies.
