A fusion of ska, funk and reggae.,

This review is from: Skinhead Moonstomp (Audio CD)
The bass on all these songs is absolutely kicking! The group was originally 'The Pyramids' but their name was changed after the rights were sold.My personal favourites are the cover version 'These Boots are Meant for STOMPING' and ofcourse 'Skinhead Moonstomp'. Although it has to be said that some of the tracks would have been better without the lead vocalist, the album has an overall amazing diversity of style. There is a comic element to the album and it definitely gets you dancing!

REAL SKINS ROMP-STOMPIN'!,

This review is from: Skinhead Moonstomp (Audio CD)
"Old-school skins mashing down the area!" This is original, late 60's ska-skin at it's very best. Most of the tracks rate highly in the danceability stakes but the few slowies give you a chance to chill ('skinhead girl' proving that skins can be romantic too!). I fell in love with this on vinyl in the late 70's and the bonus tracks on this CD DO NOT water it down. START STOMPIN'!

taste this bassful late 60's classic and get stomping. this well strong yet sweet sound which got skinheads jumping will get you in the mood. this non political stlye of reggae was the type of sound which appealed to the "tuf" booted original skin. symarip were a class act, get it, your collections pitiful without it!
