I'm so pleased to have discovered this SPF 15 moisturiser from Skinfood which I bought almost accidentally a couple of months ago. What the above listing doesn't tell you is how lovely the fragrance of the moisturiser is -- delicate scents of lavender and tea tree oil which are soothing and reassuring but not at all overpowering.
It soaks in nicely, leaving very little greasiness and the usual slight shine I've come to expect from most creams. If you have particularly oily skin I'd probably try the lighter moisturiser available from Skinfood, although I haven't tried this myself. I imagine though that it is probably excellent!
Despite the fact that this is a sun protection moisturiser I like to use this cream mainly at night, as I'm an anti-aging convert during the day and find it really softens my skin up nicely and leaves it looking pretty good for the following morning. It contains no parabens and is natural based with no artificial colourings, which is reassuring after reading the laundry list of ingredients on many other popular brands out there! I like the fact that I actually know what several of the ingredients are on the back of the tube!
I also use this particular cream on my 4-year-old daughter's face at bedtime, as she has quite sensitive skin and is prone to rough patches and irritation. I've really found this has helped the texture of her skin and I don't feel bad plying her with beauty goo at such a young age because of the lack of parabens. It's become quite a nice part of our night time routine and she also loves the smell! I wonder if it will be one of those nostalgic things she associates with childhood... lavender and tea tree smothered on her face!
If you're looking for a La Prairie skin-peeling illuminating miracle-in-a-bottle this probably isn't for you, but for a really lovely softening and smoothing all-rounder I can't recommend this lovely cream enough. I will definitely be buying it again and it's not often I say that about a moisturiser.
