This is the story of one woman who on discovering that her great-uncle was hanged for a crime he did not commit decides to find out more about capital punishment both in Ireland and the US. The character are slightly one-dimensional - the main character seems remarkable unaffected by her parents' death in a car crash once she finds out about her great-uncle while clearing their house. However, because we aren't caught up in long desciptions of feelings and emotions the story can move on quite quickly. A very easy read with a neat twist at the end which will make you smile, despite the subject matter.
