The good thing about these shoes are that the lights are up where the child who wears it can see them. Most shoes have lights on the side so the child cannot see them light up easily. The shoes are sturdy and seem comfortable, but I think they are a little too heavy for my daughter. She is petite but she only wears them to and from child care so she hasn't complained of any problems yet.

The shoes are great. My 5 year old loves them. She stepped in mud and the shoes were totally covered. I had to throw them in the wash machine and the lights on the shoes still lights up when she walks - even after being washed. The shoes are holding up well.
