bought for my wife 9 months ago. it completely stopped working a few months back. maybe she didn't look after it by taking it into the bathroom and leaving it there. look beautiful and cheaper than on the high street. just dissappointed that it doesn't work. maybe the battery died. it was a lovely gift though. not sure whose fault it is, hmmm.

a beautiful, elegant watch

I had been interested in a ceramic watch, but didn't consider buying online as I wanted to see one in person. I purchased this watch in black on a recent cruise. The retail price at Effy was $225 and I got it for $176. The prices here on Amazon are far, far cheaper for the exact same watch (I paid $76). I love the black watch, so I when I found it on Amazon I immediately ordered it in white on white without the gold accents. It's just as beautiful as the black.
The product picture does not do it justice - it looks almost like plastic/rubber online. In person the watch looks ceramic, almost like Corelle dishes. The downside is the watch is a lot like Corelle in that the ceramic doesn't scratch, but it will shatter. I accidentally dropped the black watch on my hard wood floor and one of the links shattered; so these are not quite as durable as I would have liked, especially considering the suggested retail. However, the watches come in a very large size, which is nice for women who have larger wrists. I had to have links removed by a jeweler so it would fit, and I had the extra to get it repaired. They come in a simple, stylish white gift box wrapped around a white pillow. Please see my pictures of the actual watches I purchased.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this watch and would buy another if they ever offer it in more colors (pink, blue, etc.). If you are interested in a ceramic watch, the Skagen is an elegant piece and an absolute bargain here on Amazon.

I'm very happy with this purchase. The watchface is small, so it'll look best on a slender wrist. I love Skagen watches because they're hypoallergenic. If you have a sensitivity to nickel, you'll be able to wear this watch. You'll need to take it to a jeweler to be sized- this is not a do it yourself project. They can take out as many links as you need to have it fit comfortably. The clasp is secure and easy to work.

I have been looking for a white ceramic watch for almost two years. I ordered two online but sent them back because they were too big. I have very small wrists and like a tiny watch. I was in a watch store getting another watch repaired; the salesman told me about this particular Skagen watch. The one in his store was slightly larger but he could order the watch for $200. I then searched on Amazon and was amazed to find the watch for less than $100. It is absolutely perfect for me!
