4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad 5 Dec 2003
Format:Audio CD
Sk8er Rock is a CD which allows people to realise what is meant by 'Skate Rock'. Sum 41, Blink 182, Papa Roach can all be described as punk, heavy metal or skate rock. The maker of this CD obviously chose skate.
Sum 41 is probably the best song on this album, with Still Waiting.

3.0 out of 5 stars To rock or not to rock with Sk8ter 2 Dec 2003
Format:Audio CD
Well, you get a lot of tracks for your money. The first cd is pretty good, with quite a few well known rock tracks although some of the swear words had been deleted from at least two tracks which seemed pointless considering that their is an advisory notice on the front of the album cover and that it is obvious what the missing words should be anyway. I found the second CD to be rather dissapointing with much of the beginning of it being pop not rock. A few swear words were in evidence on the second CD, probably in an attempt to spice it up which doesnt really work. Their is also a run DMC track with rap lyrics on a dance music type background. Its not that this track was bad but it certanly isnt rock! In fact a fairer name for the album would be Sk8ter soft rock. The only outstanding track on the second CD for me was the last one which truly did rock.
Their is a selection of well known and not so well known bands and a good number of tracks on the compilation. However I remain a little dissapointed overall.
