About the Author
Wynne Davies was awarded the MBE in 1995 for almost half a century's dedication to Welsh ponies and cobs. Dr Davies joined the Welsh Pony and Cob Society in 1948, has been a Council member since 1955, President in 1984/5 and Publicity Officer since 1978. He is the author of six previous publications for J.A. Allen - including The Welsh Cob and The Welsh Pony - and has been a regular contributor to equestrian magazines, notably Horse and Hound, for fifty-five years.

A beautiful coffee table book but so disappointing that photos of the same ponies and cobs were continually repeated. Understandable in the very early years but surely not post 1970's?

It's a beautifully presented book of photos and pedigrees and would appeal to anyone who is interested in the welsh breeds. It's only, slightly irritating, drawback is that sometimes the same photo is used every time for a particular horse. Perhaps that was the only photo available of that horse but I felt it let the book down a little bit.Im not sure theres enough content to keep you returning to it either.
