5.0 out of 5 stars You never thought we'd go to war... 26 Oct 2002
Format:Audio CD
The latest single to be taken from The Private Press, the original version of 'Six Days' features a haunting sample from a track called 'Six Day War', whose refrain 'Tomorrow never comes until it's too late' digs its way into your head and won't let go. The remix, featuring Mos Def, is a much harder affair, with more beats and scratching, which give the track a darker feel. This version has a much stronger message, taking its lead from the line 'You never thought we'd go to war after all the things we saw'. The third track is a throw away, but that doesn't stop being an essential purchase for anyone with a love of music, or a conscience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent single 21 Jun 2005
By splitendsjustifythemeans - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This version only has 3 tracks on it, omitting the instrumental version of Six Days, which isn't so bad. (Without the weird vocals, the song just loses something, plus it's been extended, which makes the pace drag a bit). The radio edit is just what you'd expect, a shortened version. The remix with Mos Def once again brings out the Walkie Talkie/Treach Battle Beat background (a nice little running gag) while Mos Def raps over the track. This really only resembles the original by having the original vocals in it also. The 100 Metre Dash sing is decent, being a fast little tracks that would fit right in with a car chase scene in a movie, but is on the short side. This would worth getting if you don't absolutely need the instrumental.
5.0 out of 5 stars This re-mix album doesn't get old 30 Mar 2010

This is a great re-mix. Some creative and pleasing re-tooling of a song I really like. Some of the re-mixes are as good as the single. Yum.
