5.0 out of 5 stars I hate male singers woth a passion but.... 2 Dec 2003
Format:Audio CD
This track is amazing. Reminicent of Blondie and the whole 80's disco/punk style that is having a new lease of life through acts like Blondie, Holly Valance, Dannii and Kylie Minogue, Goldfrapp and now The Rapture. Sorry if those comparisons offend anyone, I know The Rapture are held in high regard by people with a passion for only the finest calibre of band but mainsteam artists are 'stepping back in time' just like Kylie and paying a great tribute to a fine dacade that style certainly never forgot. But back to the tune! The lyrics are delivered in a camp melancholy style quite like a slightly reminicant of The Pet Shop Boys but a bit less girly. It's all very electro with a great punk intro. The mixes are great too. Track 2 being slightly slowed down and Track 3 being more of an extended version tahn a full on remix. A great buy from a promising band. More please.
