The Vocal Selections in this book are fantastic. I especially like both ballads 'Sister Act' and 'Life I Never Led'. You do have to be quite a compatent pianist to be able to play some of the numbers. It does has the guitar chords for the lazier pianist (me) when sightreading. I would definitely recommend this if you fell in love with other Musicals such as Wicked, Rent, Legally Blonde etc.
It's terrific that you get all the great songs from the show and the piano arrangements are excellent. However, please note that this is one of those annoying books that refuses to stay open on the music stand. You can try breaking the spine as hard as you like but it keeps trying to close itself whilst you're trying to play the piano. Does anyone know why publishers sell books that aren't fit for purpose? Grrr!!
