this is ideal when I am just wanting to cook a small portion of veg for my toddler to go with his meal, as opposed to lugging out the big 3 tier electric steamer we have! Have only tried Frozen veg so far, this literally only takes 2-3mins in the micro depending on the quantity. Love this, dont know what I would have done without it, its small, convenient, quick and easy!

Bought this small steamer as I became a widow recently, and all cooking pans were
to big for one, it's really ideal, it is small, but big enough to cook at least three

Works nicely for microwave cooking (low setting) without added water WITH inner basket. But then you lose a lot of room.
Microwaving Rhubarb or Onion in a good Tupperware or without the inner basket causes boil over. The basket seems to solve that problem. But it takes a lot a (inside) room and you can't stack in the cupboard.

This is too small even for one person. Cannot get an even layer of anything in it. Used as directed the water disappeared and the contents burnt instead of steamed. Read more
