About the Author
Antonella Cane loves cats. She was born in Alba, Italy in the beautiful mountains near Turin where you find wild truffles growing deep in the ground. Her childhood was coloured by the ritual of digging truffles and the sounds of barking dogs. Her family owned lots of truffle-sniffer dogs - but no cats were allowed in the house! Today, Antonella's house in the UK is happily filled with wonderful cats and she is active as a textile-artist and writer and lives in Edenbridge, Kent and Robilante-Farm (in the mountains near the French-Italian border).

A series of letters by a once-traumatised cat to a place called 'Wild Berry'
This is your life. Once upon a time... once-traumatised... No, I'm no poet, I'm no writer - just a simple house cat. But I do write letters, simple, unpretentious letters. I write letters in which I would like to describe how I started in life, letters to keep all my friends informed about the many exciting things that are happening to me. I first started life as if I was in a dream world, then I was rescued and the reality of life started... after I was able to cope wit my accident by writing funny things about it (doctors call this therapy: integration vs repression). Life can be so exciting for a cat: you just need a little bit of imagination to start with, and then things start happening.
I'm living proof of this, truly, you'll see by my letters.
Sir Norman the Cat
PS As my computer skills were not up to par, an Italian lady gave me a paw to help me type in English and send my messages to 'Wild Berry'.
