Maybe not nearly as good as some of the bands that have played the 3rd stage on the U.S. ozzfest (check out Otep and Mushroomhead). Drowningpool are more melodic than most of the bands, and while sounding good on hit track "bodies", they tend to sound a little like Creed on some tracks. Perhaps this one needs time to grow.

1st of all i would like to say that i did NOT hear Drowning pool on WWF!! There has been a distinct lack of Nu-metal bands who i believe hav any staying power! 2 examples r Linkin Park & PaPa Roach who r both reasonable bands but i dont believe either of them will release more than 2 albums because their music will soon be out of fashion & the group will split. This will not happen with bands like Drowning Pool & ill Nino because they are the Slayers & Metallicas of today, in 10 years time they will still be releasing records & viewed as a classic band. The album SINNER is near perfect, highlights are title track SINNER, BODIES & I AM. the majority of the songs switch from a melodic vocal to a thundering scream that forces you off the floor into a mosh, anyone with taste in music will not be able to help loving every second of the album. buy it or your music collection will NEVER be complete

this CD starts off with a good melodic and strong song, "sinner". then goes off with a very good song, "bodies". tear away is ok but the next few songs are annoyingly alike and repedative. "all over me" and "reminded" might as well be the same song and sound like the band forgot how to write a chorus. i think sermon is a good neutral song, not christian but not entirely against religeon. it's not the best album but in my opinion a CD worth buying.
