Built in secrecy she was a magnificent achievement of German technology whose focus was fear and mass destruction. She was the battleship Bismarck. Surprisingly her life span was that of a butterfly, just over a week. But that was enough for her to sink her dragon's teeth into the pride of the British fleet and blast her into eternity. This terror of the sea had to be destroyed. This is the epic drama of the greatest sea chase the world has ever known seen through the eyes of the men who lived it. A life and death pursuit across two million square miles of storm tossed ocean. Bear witness as the entire British Empire marshals its resources with only one purpose of heart, to sink the Bismarck.

I have always been fascinated with the battle of the Denmark strait
more importantly the hood , tedd Briggs who sadly passed a way a couple
Of years ago , who often talked about the last minutes of his ships life.
Through the entire war the navy lost more men in this single sinking than any
Other ship . Over 1400 were lost on the hood, dundas, tilburn and Briggs
Sole survivors. The bismarck lost around 2000 of her crew .......

I would highly recommend this dvd to any one interested in this battle

An enthralling account of the chase and destruction of the Bismarck. If you know the story I don't think you will find anything new in this but it is well presented and well balanced.
