A Hits collection from Shirley Bassey 21 April 2006

Format:Audio CD

When this album was released on United Artists label in 1975 it peaked at number 2 and stayed in the charts for 23 weeks!. This cd version adds 4 additional tracks (Goldfinger, No Regrets, I (Who Have Nothing), and What Kind Of Fool Am I)which were actually EMI/Columbia recordings. It is a good introduction to the recordings of Shirley Bassey. However, EMI should be ashamed of the quality of the reproduction of the album sleeve. I could make a better copy with my home scanner and my copy of the original vinyl album.

I bought this CD because it was a particular favourite of my dad's (in the vinyl version) and my sister and I used to sing along to it when we were younger. He died in August and I bought it to remind me of that. I love singing along loudly to Big Spender and frankly all of the others. I think it's great!

THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY SHIRLEY BASSEY BEST,

All her greatest hits ,and sung at the time with a mature voice , simply the best lady , with the best voice .
