My old pal Zoot 25 Oct 2004
Format:Audio CD
I used to play guitar for Zoot back in the early 60's and he was then and still is, my favourite British Blues artist. This collection captures the real Zoot, the entertainer and rocker, who charmed his way round the country, from Lands End to John O'Groats during those wild 60's and early 70's.
Nobody who attended a Zoot Money and the Big Roll Band concert came away dis-satisfied, and I can still hear Paul Williams, Andy Somers, Nick Newell and Colin Allen knocking out that driving backing to Zoot's OTT vocals and stage clowning.

If you want to re-capture the sounds of the 60's this record will do it for you. Yes, I've bought one myself, but don't tell Zoot!

Zoot suits ! 17 Nov 2010
By Radaboy
Format:Audio CD
I bought this CD last week and so far I havent stopped listening to it.
All of the tracks are superb although the sound quality on some is a little
clipped. I would like to have seen the band play live but at 52 am too young
to have sampled the real deal in the '60s. This is the next best thing.

Zoot is great but who's Ian Gillan? 5 Nov 2004
By John W. Mycroft - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
If you hung out in London in the 1960s, this CD will make you feel 40 years younger / hungover / in need of a beer. Takes yer right back there. When I snuff it, put a CD player in my box with this CD set to "Repeat".

But who the hell is Ian Gillan to whom Amazon have attributed this CD? Maybe someone at Amazon spent too much time in the 60s.
A (big) rolling good time 17 Aug 2007
By Mike F. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
It has every Zoot Money song you can think of, including the hit, "The Uncle Willie." The liner notes are great, too. Pop this on and be instantly transported back to 1960s Britain.
Zoot Money's Scrapbook: The Best Album Ian Gillan never made 17 Dec 2003
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
For some extraordinary reason, this superb compilation of singles released by Zoot Money's Big Roll Band in the 1960s, listed correctly elsewhere, is (at the time of writing this) currently being sold on Amazon as "As & Bs Scrapbook [IMPORT]
~ Zoot Big Roll Band Money", by Ian Gillan.

Diamond geezer and fine vocalist though Mr Gillan undoubtedly is, this is one CD that can't be laid at his door, except as a nicely gift-wrapped gift.
