good music always goes unnoticed 22 May 2004
By Karen E. Kelly - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I bought lambhouse, the Unsane best-of/dvd about a month ago. I asked someone for a great heavy album, and he said Unsane. He also says that unsane are THE best band to come out of the 90's. After getting the best of, i believed him. Next time i went into the record store i found this album, then i found out it was out of print, so i asked him to put it on hold for me. Today, about three weeks later, i finally got the money together to buy it, and i am not disapointed. This album is amazing. So amazing, that it pisses me off that it is out of print. Unsane should go down in history as Noise Rock Royalty. They came out of the same scene as Sonic Youth, and though EVERYONE knows sonic youth, NOONE knows Unsane. So if you are in the mood for some hard, heavy music, search out Unsane. Evem though amazon doesnt carry any of their cd's, Scattered Smothered and Covered, Occupational Hazard, and Lambhouse(the bestof) are still out there waiting to be bought.

Buyer Alert 9 Feb 2006
By Stargrazer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Okay, it's not THAT rare. Used for $25? I bought it THIS MORNING for $8 at my local record store. I've been eyeing it in their bins for around a year.

Just do a little looking around at your favorite independent shop or some record shows, you can find it.

And it's well worth the search if you enjoy these New York noise stalwarts. Songs like "Burn" and "Vandal-X" crackle and growl with menace -- one of the thicker and more nuanced guitar sounds in punk/hardcore, a rolling boil of drums, and nice growly bass in each and every song.

Some of this material has been re-issued on "Lambhouse," but there's still a nice trove of songs here to dull your hearing and vent your restless demons with.

So good luck on your search. Don't support the used CD equivalent of ticket scalpers.
