I read this book a little while ago. It is pretty daunting being a single person in any situation... nobody wants to be the gooseberry. Being a single in a church where marriage is the only expected course of action can be more daunting. This book was pretty helpful to me, and I would recomend it to anybody who feels like they are less because they are single.

It's not easy being single. There's so much pressure coming from so many angles. It's not easy being a Christian either, for the same reasons. Being a single and a Christian should therefore be even harder.This book brings to the surface all of the issues facing Christian singles, which is the first step in dealing with them. It goes on to talk about why being single is equal to being married in God's eyes and it dispels the myths surrounding marriage. God's will is not our will - as my Mum always says. But what is God's will. Are we on a pre-determined course? Read it and see.

eye opening and refreshing take on singleness,

This book came at a crucial time in my life. It was a great read and really opened my eyes to the fact that it's ok to want to be married but there was nothing wrong also with being single. It made me realise that I need to discover myself first and that marriage isn't a way to escape loneliness. Definitely a great read and will be recommending it to all my single friends.
