Single Cuts [CD]

as most judas priest fans know there is a regular cd version of this if you just want all the official uk singles from the CBS years (1977 to 1991) but if you are a diehard priest collecter or compleatist then you may want to spring the extra mony for this lavish box set wich inclues all the single cds remastered with the b sides in replica 45 sleeves and the discs themselves even replicate the original 45 records in the case of a few that did not come with picture sleeves originally, also this box contains a nice small booklet with classic photos and a great essay, of coarse the discs sound crystal clear and the contents in this collecters edition are really nice, at first i just figured this was just another cash cow for the outgoing legendary metal band but after a little while i changed my mind becouse in cds 27 year existance some of these b sides NEVER made it to cd so that was what sold me on this box set after about 2 months of contemplating buying this or not, if you want it for the best price just go over to amazon uk while supplies last becouse i see amazon us are not selling this anymore but you can still get this from a us seller if one is listed, i do belive this is very limited but i dont know how many where pressed, i do remember when this came out in november it stated on priests website that once these are gone there will be NO RE PRESSINGS so if you think you want this you might want to jump on it, that is why i got this from amazon uk, anyway i would give this 5 stars in a minute but as much as i love priest and ive been a fan now since late 1978, sadley when it came to priests 45s from the uk the sleeves there i always felt could have been a lot nicer like maidens sleeves or ufos sleeves where but in the end its the music that counts, my favorite era of all these replicas is the 1977 to 1984 era nothing will ever top that and in my opinion those where priets best days, since early 1980 ( over 32 years now) i have always wondered why lester binks did not stay with jp or was let go and dave holland brought in, dave was a good drummer but les smoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! scott is good but i still feel LES BINKS WAS THE BEST DRUMMER THE PRIEST EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!! i still love to play everything from rocka rolla to defenders of the faith to this day, i never get sick of it, i know priest hit a few commercial bumps over the years and did a few dud albums but i guess they will always be special to me becouse i got into them at the age of 10 in 1978 by listening to a relatives staind glass 8 track tape, i was hooked there and then, i was dissapointed kk left priest and did not retire with the whole band but i heard the shows in 2011 where really good and ritchie faulkner is a great guitar player, no disrespect to ritchie but kk is a key member like rob is, priest where not the same in the 90s without rob and just i dont feel are the same without kk as good as ritchie is, i am sad to see priest go out on this note but i have many priest shows in my memory and a nice 34 year collection to enjoy and this box set does indeed rerally add to that so if you are a guy like me who has old posters, 45s, lps tour programmes , then id grab this for your collection, i thought the best priest 45 sleeves where out of JAPAN, GERMANY, HOLLAND FRANCE AND SPAIN to bad the uk ones are more plain but who knows they could do a box of those w/ a different box and booklet but then again that would just be re selling this to us so this is the best we got. enjoy thanx to jp and its members for all the memories and a lifetime of great hm.........

This Cd has all the old Priest singles and it Rocks Loud and Hard!!! I know they have a few other Greatest Hits out but this has some stuff I haven't heard in years. I am glad I was able to pick it up here at such a Great Price. AAA+++

REVIEW FOR JUDAS PRIEST FANS...

First,I want to thanks to all my friends that knows about my love for Judas Priest, and which helped me with some money to can buy this box,I also want to thanks to Amazon too,for their again promptitude in sending me the item in time,due that I ordered it in 28 Febr.,from Amazon Italy,with the lower ship,cause was all what I afforded, and was expedited to me on 1 March,so I expected to received it between 15-16 March,but probably because of the Woman Day,the Amazon made me a surprise and they expedited it from UK, with the Royal Mail,to received it on 8 March,but I got the pack even more early,on 6 March,so in the Woman Day,I got the most beautiful surprise from Amazon,and I could enjoy my eyes with the beautiful design of this box set and also to clear my ears with the beautiful music of it,I got the pack in good condition,I got the receipt too,the only one problem was that the box set was little fold on a corner,maybe the peoples from Amazon pushed too much the box set into Amazon box,or maybe the boxes were too pushes one of other in the transportation car,but it can be fixed.

Second, I want to congratulate the band staff, their house records,and the band too,for this great idea to build this box set containing all their singles,so before to tell about some things about every single,I MUST to tell some about this jewelry design of this box set,about the beautiful design of the booklet,and about the ingenious design of the Cd-es.

-THE BOX is a quarter of 13 almost 14 centimeters hight and width,and of 5 almost 6 width on its edge.Is made of strong cartoon covered with slim quality paper,and all has a blue color background,with some graphics imprint,on the front side is imprint the Judas Priest logo,with black letters bringed out in bold relief,and in this side too,is designed the metal fork,on which are printed the Single Cuts words,with red letters,in the same bold relief,and the fork is keeping by some robotic hands,all in fire,that burn from yellow to red,then on the backside,appear the same band logo and on this side too is printed an sticker with the box set photo and down on the right corner is the Sony emblem,and on the left corner is the number of the box set,mine is 0447.It's smells is like you entered into a library of new books,in this case a library of music.The box contain a booklet of 32 pages,and 20 Cd-es.

-THE BOOKLET is about 32 pages,on same blue color with graphics printed,on the front side of the booklet,is printed the Judas Priest logo with black letters,and the metal fork on which is printed the Single Cuts words,the fork is NOT keeping by that hands anymore,is just burning in fire,and on the backside of the booklet,is printed the black fork.On every page are presented the singles in order of their appearance,and for every single is writing some words of co-founder of Kerrang,mr.Geoff Barton,at the middle of the booklet,is a page with rare band photos,and at the last pages,are numbered all the Cd-es,with all the singles,and with details about where and when they have been released,and finally at the end of booklet,is a page with all single's photos,and on the last page,appear a photo with the band,and the mention of peoples that contributed to this art work box set,all the booklet is written by Geoff Barton,so I noted his words in quotes.

-THE CD-es are about 20,the covers are made from glossy slim cartoon in different art work respected the image of every single of that early years,and the Cd-es shows like mini Vinyls,black on both parts,even with all that striatal lines ,and even with that circle paper printed on CD where is written the band name and the single.

Third,I detailed some things about every single in part.

CD 1:
DIAMOND AND RUST (A side)single covered of Joan Baez, the song has been included on Sin After Sin album,1977,over CBS,and produced by Roger Glover,but was recorded a year early,on Sad Wings of Destiny time album ,in 1976,but was not included on this album,this early version appeared on the Hero,Hero,and a live version of this song appear on Unleashed in the East,and also a acoustic version appear in some of the band shows,and the song was covered even by other bands,as Blackmoore's Night and has been sample in two popular hip-hop songs"Happiness"and "Upgrate call"by Bushdriver,also the most interesting interpretation was gave by Judas Priest,through the guitars interpretation,and Rob's voice,in special in the acoustic version,but because of the lyrics too,that can touch even the most unhuman man in this world, and how Geoff said :"Rob's voice is enhanced by some neat echo treatment as he grapples with Baez lyrics"and these speaks about Baez relation with Bob Dylan,even if she never admited it,telling that the song was made for her husband that was in jail,anyway,too touching lyrics to be understood by someone who didn't lived such love story.
DISSIDENT AGGRESSOR(B side)single has been included on Sin After Sin album too,and because was considered a strong heavy metal song even over years,the song was included in 2008,in Nostradamus tour,and in 2011,the song winning the Grammy at the Best Metal Performance, for his re-edition on Touch of Evil Live,and it was also became cover for some other bands,as Slayer,but is also to notice the strong lyrics too that I think its speaks about the communism era in Germany,about Berlin,about Wall,and someone that try to escape from East system and to pass to West,probably a similarity with the conservative UK government that put lots restrictions to british people,anyway,the lyrics are too ideological for most of us,and probably just the band knew why they choosed such subject.

CD 2.
BETTER BY YOU BETTER THAN ME(A side) single covered over Gary Wright,appear on Stained Class album, released in 1978,over CBS,at Chipping Norton Studios,Oxfordshire,London,UK,produced by Dennis MacKay, and besides a good interpretation,the song became known in the world for its "subliminal message" in lyrics,because of some words like"Do it" that appear several times in song and that attempt to suicide,an act which was commited by 2 youngers,Vance and Ray,20 and 19 years old,in Reno,Nevada,'85,the first guy shot his chin,dying instantly,and the other too,but this one survived but with a broke face,also he died some years later,of some drugs,all these after they both listened several times this song which finally became famous through this story which appeared in many documentaries,as The Story Behind James Vance and Judas Priest,or articles as Skeptical Enquirer,but also a song that took the band into a long court process,and to many argues between both parts attorneys,a process that finally was dismissed,in fact how Rob's said:"If we wanted to insert some subliminal messages in our music,pushing the fans to kill themself through that words,would be counterproductive,and we would prefer to insert the command:"Buy more of our records",so funy,anyway this case became subject of comedians jokes,Bill Hick asking in his stand-up shows"What musician want his audience death?" and he mimicking the band being sick of their fame and founding as only solution at this problem,the attempt of suicide,what a good joke,anyway a song with too hard lyrics to be understood by all so its better to let it at a free interpretation.
INVADER(B side) single appear on Stained Class album too,over same records,and the song is known for his specific sound and the fantastic lyrics too that tells about a planet which is to defend itself from aliens invasion.

CD 3.
EVENING STAR (A Side) single should be included on Sin After Sin album,released in 1977,over CBS,but because was composed as a tester for the late albums,finally was lifted for this album,and has been included on Hell Bent For Leather album,released in 1978,over CBS,the single was considered a commercial song from the composition point of view,but also a interesting one,because of the lyrics,that looks to have religious conotations,that I think could described many things,and one could be about the discovery of Jesus,because in Bible,in Revelation chapter,he call himself "The morning Star",meaning the Venus Star,that could mean that "Evening Star",or it can be just how Geoff said:"The journey of the three Magi that were guided by the Evening Star to Jesus",or could have other explanations too,anyway,the lyrics are too spirituals to be understood such easy and in their deep content.
STARBREAKER(B side) single is included on Sin After Sin album too,the song has been considering a back to metal and appearance of using of claps in choruses,all over a beautiful melody and good lyrics that are too controversate because I don't know exactly what they can means,cause I heard lots of variants,one of them was that this starbreaker could be that ancient vampire,but also I red somewhere about the band itself version,and they tell that the song is about a mysterious guy that goes around different planets and making love with different womans,but if that is a wrong version too,that's mean was just another net lie,so don't get it for sure,anyway ,the lyrics are too fantastic to be understood clearly in their meaning.

CD 4.
BEFORE THE DAWN ( A side) appear on Hell Bent for Leather album(USA version)Killing Machine(UK version), released in1978,over same CBS,at Utopia Studio,London,Uk,produced by James Guthrie,an album that won 128 position in Bilboard 1979,and that was released in 2010,by the Audio Fidelity label,on a limited edition gold CD,this song was called how Geoff said a euro ballad,because of the sound,because of guitarists melody,because of Rob's voice that sing in a lower register,and because of that romantic lyrics,that I think could have many meanings,but I think that it speaks about two soulmates that spent almost a lifetime to find each other,and when they finally found,they were separated by some,that could be the death of one of them,anyway,the lyrics are too poetically to be understood in their intimacy.
ROCK FOREVER (B side) appear on same album,same house records,and the song is known for his movement rhythm,and Rob's voice,and those crazy lyrics that shows how crazy he is about metal music.

CD 5.
TAKE ON THE WORLD (A side)is included in Hell Bent for Leather album too,over the same CBS,even if it was a commercial song,due to his rhythm,and the easy melody in verses in refrains too,this became one from their popular songs,that reached some good positions in UK charts and No 14 in USA,also the lyrics are so inspired and invite the fans to unite with the band into a victory road,I think they speaks about to stand up and believe in what we want,think,and feel,even if is about a love,or a job,or for a health,no matter what,and we must fight for what we want till the end,if we stop fight,we'll never know the final answer,but if we'll fight,it's possible to win,and even if not,at least we tried,I think this could be a good advice.
STARBREAKER(B side)was included on Sin After Sin,but this LIVE version,was recorded at Agora Ballroom,Cleveland,USA,1978,and how Geoff said:"With this live version,the band refine their art and developed better into and on stage killing machine".
WHITE HEAT RED HOT(B side)was included on Stained Class album,but this live version was recorded at Agora Ballroom,Cleveland,USA,1978 too,offering the fans,how Geoff said:"More than 7 minutes of metal delirium",because of the music rhythm,the melody and lyrics too,that are so futuristic,cause they have a war theme and speaks about light sabers,they were wrote together with the whole album in fact,as a tribute to the Star Wars mania era.

CD 6.
EVENING STAR:(A side)appear on Hell Bent for Leather album,but this version appear on a limited edition on 12 inch vinyl.
BEYOND THE REALMS OF DEATH:(B side)single appears Live at Agora
Ballroom,Cleveland,USA,1978,and the song is considering as composition,but the guitars melody and Rob"s voice,and lyrics too,one of the most beautiful ballad,and how Geoff said,this song is a "masterpiece of light shade,serenity,and menace of the Rob's wring of emotion" and is to see how on stage,he stabs his eyes with the tips of his fingers,screaming, all on the background of KK and Glenn guitarists that contribute at the song with their "storming and insane solos",also the lyrics are emotional too,and speaks about the right of choosing to live or die,probably about a man that are in coma,maybe from illness(its possible to be even Rob's ex.lover that died on AIDS,how I heard)or just a man tired about this life and about the system in which he live,being prepared to choose between life and death,but that finally wake up from coma,and realized that he is not scared about death anymore,cause he is beyond the realms of it,anyway exist lots peoples that were at least once in the position to choose between to live or die,is the example of most stars,that because of too much celebrity, can't appreciate the life's value.
GREEN MANALISHI(B side)single covered of Fleetwood Mac,written by Peter Green,appear in 1980 ,and is known for the lyrics in special,how Geoff remembered :"Rob wrap his torture tonsils around them",the fantastic lyrics speaks about a dream that Peter Green had,and in which he spoke with a green dog ,the Manalishi,that represented the money,and the Two Pronged Crown represent the devil,and somekind is true cause the money are the devil eye.

CD 7.
LIVING AFTER MIDNIGHT( A side)is included on British Steel album,1980,
recorded and released at Tittenhurst Park,UK,produced by Tom Allom,an album that became one of their most appreciated albums,that reached No.4 in UK charts,and No.34 in USA charts,an album that was enjoyed of a 30anyversary release on CD and Dvd,during of a live show in 2009,at Seminole Hard Rock Arena,Florida,USA,and this single was a tester for this album,finally,it was considered an enough good album to reach the No .12 in top 40 UK,and to be covered by other bands,as L.A.Guns,Lost Childrens,Disturbed,etc,also the single became a popular one,because of rhythm,because of guitars melodicity and Rob's melody,and the cool lyrics too,that speaks about the joy of life after midnight.
DELIVERING THE GOODS(B side)is included on Living after Midnight ,and was recorded Live at Sunplaza,Tokyo,Japan,and appear on Unleashed in the East,is to notice the lyrics too,that could have conection with the era when Rob came out to reveal his sexual orientation.
EVIL FANTASIES(B side)was included on Living After Midnight too,and was recorded Live in Sunplaza,Tokyo,Japan,and appear on Unleashed in the East too,is to mention the lyrics that have connection again with the era when Rob came out as a gay man.

BREAKING THE LAW(A side)appear on British Steel album, recorded and release in 1980,at Startlight Studio,UK,over CBS,and with the passing of years, it became their
Hymn,and if to ask somebody how that,its enough to mention the words of Geoff that remembered KK variant:"We just broker into that riff one day,and the song wrote itself.We wrote it about 1 hour,and Rob just started singing,and before we knew it,we had a classic Pries song",so its obviously why this song was named in 2009,one of the 12 greatest rock songs ever,in VH1,and why was used in games too,as in Rock the Band 2,and Scarface,and also as video in Beavis&Budhead,a song over they done their best video,presented Rob running into an Cadilac,on A406 North Circular,London,stoped near a bank near Oxford Street,where he met with 2 priests carring 2 guitar cases,KK and Glenn,and together entered in bank,but not with the intention to break the safe to steal money,but to steal the gold record award for this album,and besides the rhythm,the melody,the guitar melody,the Rob's voice,is to mention the right lyrics too,that I think its like a protest against UK government leaded by Thatcher and from whom cause, the british industry were collapse,and the band couldn't grown well in UK,and they got a more good fame outside.
METAL GODS(B side)appear on British Steel too,over same record,at this song too became a popular song,how Geoff remembered about KK words:"When we recorded that track,we had load an load of fun trying to make it sound as metal we can,we were shaking cutlery trays on front of microphones to create the sound of metal marching feet and late Rob gave the mantle of Metal Gods",are to notice fantastic lyrics too,that its speak about the supranaturalism of some that wants to take control over all world,maybe about the humans that created the robots,and about how the robots came smart than mans,and dominated the humans,definetly that supranatural thing is the band itself.

CD 9.
UNITED(A side)is included on British Steel album too,and became popular too because of the same rhythm,melody,guitars melody,Rob's voice and lyrics that are inspired by the unpopularity of UK conservatory government,and it sounds like a call to arms and is to mention the Geoff memories about what Rob said about it:"There was a feeling of the vast population of the british public being united against a gov.We felt was un-caring.It was also a kind a kick ass,to the way we were being ignored by various elements of the press in out home country because of punk movement was dominating everything.We wanted to send a rallying call out to the metalheads,not only in UK,but everywhere",so the lyrics express these words,they speaks about an invitation to all fans and also to all people in this world to stay united in their convictions.
GRINDER(B side)is included on same British Steel album,and this became a popular song too,because of the rhythm ,melody,guitars,Rob's voice,but lyrics that speaks about same things,here Rob added:"Lyricaly is just me blowing up again about humanity and the way we still don't look out for each other",and he has right,I think that most of us are not able to touch the highest spirituality of life in which we must to grow our minds to become more wise and our souls to be more special,making us more good one with other,and detached from all the material things, in contrary most of us keep falling into a deep cave becoming addicted to all life vicious,sex,drugs,politic,religion,etc,arriving to have bad minds and bad souls,interested just in ourselves and denigrate our humans race.

CD 10.
DON'T GO(A side)appear on Point of Entry album,recorded and released in 1981,in
Ibiza,Spain,over same CBS and producer,the song is known for another period for the band,and is enough to remember about Rob wearing his moustache, the song is known because of his video,but interesting too because of the rhythm,melody,guitars,Rob's voice,and desperate lyrics too,that speaks about a love story,in which one of two,because of different reason, want to leaves the other,and I think most of us living such sad story.
SOLAR ANGEL(B side)appear on same album,and it became known because before the band reunited in 2005,they used to play this song on rare occasions,special in World Wide Blitz tour,1981,when this song became the opening song for every show,so its became a good song because of the rhythm,melody,guitars,Rob's voice and the fantastic lyrics too,that I think is speaks about the God's appearance in his second coming on Earth,or about our trip to Cosmos.

CD 11.
HOT ROCKIN(A side)is included on the same Point of Entry album,and became popular because of the song too but because of the video,that shows the band into a gym, even if,for most of us,its maybe unimaginable to see Priests as gym,the song is cool because of the rhythm,melody,guitars,and Rob"s voice,and the hot lyrics too,that speaks from themself.
BREAKIN THE LAW(B side)was recorded during the World Wide Blitz tour 1981,Holland,or France or Germany,not sure.
LIVING AFTER MIDNIGHT(B aside)-idem.

YOU'VE GOT ANOTHER THING COMIN'(A side)appear on Screaming for Vengeance album1982,recorded in Beejay Studios, Ibiza,Spain and Bayshore,Florida,USA,produced by same Tom Allom,an album reached No.11 in UK,and No.17 on Bilboards,No.10in Metal Rulles,No.46 in Kerrang,and gold in 1982,and one platinum in 1982,and 2 platinum in 2001,but this single too became known
because of his video footage showing a boy playing the arcade version of Pole Position game,the song also reached No.67 in Bilboard 100 charts,and became favorite in early rock radios and early MTV staple,and also in the comedy Bad Teacher,and also appeared on some video games,as Grand Theft Auto,and in Guitar Hero too,and in EA Sports NHL 12,and finally was in the next also covered by Pat Boone in his Metal Mood album,and all because this song came how Geoff said, "a classic Priest thunder with a take no theme,because of Glenn solos after Rob's reflective line",a song with cool rhythm,beautiful verses,easy refrain,drums intermezzo in song,while the fans could sign with the band,and also because ,always before this song,Rob done the known vocalizes with fans,the lyrics speaks about every of us, about the ability to discover ourself,our highest talent and dreams,and about the power to put it in light and use it ,and about the courage to fight with all the barriers that are on our way,and finally about our faith that someday someone will appreciate us and our dreams will comes true.

TAKE THIS CHAINS( A side)covered of Robert Halligan,appear on Screaming for Vengeance album too,and it became an interesting song due to its other kind of composition that ussualy the band done,and because of the fantastic lyrics like speaks about,how Geoff said"the tale of a lost love,despited moving many miles away,about a former lover tentacles that still reach out his/her love,such interesting fantastic love.
THE AUDIO FILE contain a short story of 8 minutes,about the chronology of those singles.

CD 14.
FREEWHEEL BURNING(A side)is included on Defender of the Faith album,recorded and released in 1983,at Ibiza Studio,Spain,over CBS,produced by same Tom Allom,
the Ep contain an extended guitar intro that was omitted to be in album,also even in the well known variant, the song became a good one,because how Geoff said,"Priest were intend to resserting their heavy credentials ,and this single depicted a creature called Metallian,A Ram-horned,tiger-like creation that was part creature,part tank",even on the album is write the explanation too:"Rising from darkness where Hell hath no mercy and the screams for vengeance echo on forever.Only those who keep the faith shall escape the wrath of the Metallian,master of all metal",finally this song was used for a montain bike video called New World Desorder 3and was also covered by Fozzy's on their Happenstance album,and on Grand Turismo 4 sound track,so a cool song,great rhythm,great melody,great guitars riffs,great Rob's voice,and lyrics that could be at free interpretation.

SOME HEADS ARE GONNA ROLL(A side)covered by same Bob Halligan,and appear on Defender of the Faith album,and because of the rhythm,the song melody and the lyrics,the song was called a returning to the commercial days of the band,that's why was
on the banned song list,in 2001,on Clear Channel Memorandum,but was also
introduced on the Best of Judas Priest:Living after Midnight,even if was not endorsed by the band,are to mention the lyrics too,that speaks about the need of a strong leader that could smash the tyrants and that could restitute the monarchy.
JAWBREAKER(B side)appear on same album,and in contrast with the other single,this one is how Geoff said :"a short ,sharp shock to the system:madder,mayhem-packed and more thrusting",also "the musical equivalent of being chinned by Mike Tyson"and
On the Rob's scream on the word Jaw-breaker,there is not doubt that HE is "the Metallian,the master of all metal",the lyrics are cool too,that I think it speaks about the way of being impassive of all life's things and keeping inside all your frustrations and finally couldn't do it anymore and explode,I think most of us have such moments,and probably the better is to say what is to say at time when the things could be resolved,not to let the things to come cold and we to explode too bad and too late when is nothing to do.

TURBO LOVER(A side)is included on Turbo album,that was released in 1985,at Compass Point Studios,Nassau,Bahamas,USA,and mixed in in 1986,at Record Plant Studios,L.A.California,USA,over same CBS,produced by same Tom A.,an album that should be double,over the name "Twin Turbos",and that got Gold in 1986,and platinum in 87,and reached No.33 in UK,and No.17 in Bilboard USA,and No.39 in Metal Rules,and this song, even if was considered by many fans and music critics,a song more pop then a rock one,because of the using of syntesizers,also in time,this song became one of the most listened songs,and Rob remind:"Its great driving song.It was written in regard to the twin turbos in Porsche"and Ian added"Turbo were all the rage,the in-thing.K.K and Glenn had bought Porsche Turbo.I'd even bought a vacuum cleaner because it had the word turbo on it",the song got a cool video too,showing the band dressed in their leather clothes and some hot ladies dressed the same,driving on their motors,on a desert road,the song was used on a version of the Sony Play Station racing game Grand Turismo 3,and was also covered by some bands,as Side Effects on their Metal God:Tribute to Judas Priest,and Sin-City All Stars on their Hell Bent Forever:Tribute to Judas Priest,so finally a cool song, because of the rhythm,the song melody,the guitars riffs,and Rob's voice and lyrics too,but despite the alls opinion that think that this song is just about sex, I think is just about hot things,any thing that can makes us being hot,from case to case, fast cars and motors running on racing,cool sexy mans and womans dressed in leathers, yes,all these could makes us horny and to wants make love.
HOT FOR LOVE(B side)is included on same album,and is a great song because of the same cool rhythm,great melody,great guitar riffs,and great Rob's voice,and lyrics too,and is enough to image just a mysterious person,some deepest eyes,a sweet smile,a remember voice,an electrifiant touch,a stealing kiss,a strong hug,and I can't continue here,but all these could be an "all unitary" that could makes everyone hot for love.

LOOCKED IN(A side)appear in same Turbo album,and became a cool song too,because of same cool rhythm,cool melody,cool guitars,and Rob's voice and the suggestive lyrics.
RECKLESS(B side)appear on same album,same records time,and same records house,and was asking to be on the Top Gun film,but the band declined,because they though the film will not be a cool one,and because it would have mean leaving the song Turbo Lover off,but anyway,the Top Gun film was a cool one finally,and they didn't lose anything if they done it,even with or without the scare to put the Turbo in shadow because of this song,the song was same good as Turbo ,with good rhythm,good melody,melodical guitars duels,and well good love lyrics.
DESERT PLAINS(B side)appear Live,and is besides the rhythm,the melody,the guitar rifs,and Rob's voice,is to notice the touching lyrics,that speaks about a far away love story,about a man who run on his motorcycle through desert(probably the Phoenix desert) to meet the one he loved and missed,we must feel very special to see that someone who loves us and who live miles away from us, is missed us so much that is able to travels all that miles,in desert sun,or cold winter,or noisy rain, just to proves us
his/her love,so a real fairy tale.

PAINKILLER(A side)is included on Painkiller album, recorded and released IN 1980,
at Miraval Studios,Brignoles,France,and in 1990,in Wisselord,Holland, over CBS too,produced by Chris Tsangarides,but because the other kind of compositions,which became more heavy,and because of the lyrics to,that became more fantastic,and also because of this song,in which appear the idea of a new hero,that metal messiah riding on his metal motorcycle with a dragon for the chassis and two circular saw blades for wheels,sent to the world to destroy evil and rescue mankind from destruction,it becames one of the most heaviest songs,even if how Geoff mentioned that KK said when was asked if this was the band intention to create the most heavy song and he said:"No,not initially,but as the album started to grow,we enjoyed the energy that we were creating,and because we had a new drummer in Scott,we were going to see what he had in the tank",but this song arrived one of their most haviest,and also it got a cool black&white video,and received a Grammy nomination,for Best Metal Performance,at Annual Grammy Award,in 1991,and it was covered by some bands,like Death on the album Sound of Perseverance,or Angra,or Saratoga,or Biomechanical on their Limited Edition of the Emperor of the Lord,or Patan band,on their Acero Argentino;Tribute to Judas Priest,or Luzbel band,on their Mirada Electrica:Tribute to Judas Priest,are to notice the lyrics,that I think its speaks about Jesus that coming down on earth and took us the well known apocalypse,but if we translate all this in metal world,that Jesus could be the Painkiller,that of course will come on his sf. motorcycle.

A TOUCH OF EVIL(A side)appear on Painkiller album,and it was the only one song from the album,composed by Tsangarides,and the only one song from this album that used synthesizers in the first,but which have been removed,the song was also considered a beautiful pseudo-ballad,even if the lyrics were considered to deal with black magic,also Rob explained that "the lyrics deal more with a love related theme,so its metaphorical",the song also got a interesting video,showing a boy having some visions,while flashing images of the band playing the song in between,finally the song was covered by other bands too,like Lions Share on their Legends of Metal,Tribute to Judas Priest, Lohrin on their Acero Argentin:Tribute to Judas Priest,and Vision Divine at their 9 Degree West on Moon album,are to notice the lyrics that talk about a deal with the devil that many of us do it because we just can't resist to it's touch some of us arriving addicted at it and I think that this devil could means many things, a devil of sex,alcohol,drugs,money,politic,religion,any devil could be.
BETWEEN THE HAMMER AND THE ANVIL:(B side)appear on same Painkiller album,and its known for his heavy rhythm,the melody,the interplay between KK and Glenn,and Rob's melody,and its industrial sound in mid-section,and the subtile lyrics that that speaks about the band's feelings while they were dragged in that known case of the subliminal messages that they put in that known song but without the intention that could bring the fans to suicide,and I think many of us we were put in the situation to be between two things,maybe without our fault,and to not know what to choose,finally letting ourself in the hand of God to send us a sign to open our eyes and see what to do .

NIGHTCRAWLER(A side)is included on Painkiller album,and because of the rhythm,the melody,the guitars and Rob's voice,but lyrics too,this song was called an emblematic pummeller,because after this album,Rob left the band,but how the premonitory lyrics speaks about that Beast in Black that will return,its possible as that beast to be Rob himself that finally returned in the band.
