Okay as a brief reference.... and that's about all.

The "book" reads like an outline of something that could be worth reading. There is no meat to it what-so-ever. Most of the text consists of quotes and excerpts from other people and books. Extremely basic exercises are explained in a very tedious manner and many of the exercises are not practical outside of an opera workshop setting.

I'm an absolute beginner... and learned very little from this book.

Excellent resource 18 Nov. 2012

I used this book for ideas and inspiration for an Opera Aria intensive workshop. Great ideas. The organization of the book was a little less than optimum for my particular needs...but there are some really useful and practical ideas for singers. Great!

Great resource for singers 20 Aug. 2010

This book is an amazing resource for singers of all levels of experience. There are exercises for both students and teachers, and it is a great one-stop resource for preparing a role.

Useful! 6 Feb. 2007
By Gloriana - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Useful, smart and full of details on singing acting and movement of an opera singer, but not the best on this subject.
