I like Sheri S Tepper a lot, since I read Beauty a few years back I have read many of her works and even coresponded with the author, I always look forward to a new release. I thoroughly enjoyed Singer From the Sea and was gripped from the start. The chararcters as always are very real and well presented, the setting on the world of Haven has a reality and diversity that makes it three dimensional. The sinister plot that gradually unwinds will properly disturb you. The ending fell flat though, it didn't seem to fit onto the end of the tale I had just read and seemed unreal after all the effort put into making this distant planet so believable. Besides that I would still reccomend the book to anybody and fans of Tepper won't be dissapointed until the last chapter. For any body who hasn't dipped into her work yet I'd start off with Beauty or the Gate to Women's Country.
