Excellent book from beginning to end. Packed with information on Singapore, covers everything there is to know such as customs, cost and places of interest. Ideal for anyone visting, living or simply want to know about Singapore.

While considering a move to Singapore, and prior to interviewing there, I bought this book. It's different to any other travel guide out there, as it incorporates significant detail on life for someone residing there, including where to get groceries, the hospital system and local culture. Hence, while it might not suit people off for a quick holiday, it's perfect for anyone planning to move there whether on a long-term relocation or a short-term assignment.
Having said that, there is a fair amount of repetition and I feel the book could be cut down a fair bit by ensuring duplicated information is removed and perhaps clarifying the structure a bit more. Overall, highly recommended.

Have been in SG for three weeks now as an expat, and already realising how comprehensive this book is. For somebody living here rather than just visiting on vacation, this is way better than your Rough Guides, Lonely Planets, etc. Only slight issue is that the latest edition is from 2007, so could really do with updating, but have had no particular problems with that so far.
