This is a must for all who want to start signing with their baby. It is fun and very informative and they were soon signing with me. They couldn't get enough of it and still watch it even though they now both confident communicators. They love to sign and sing all the songs. I was amazed how quickly we all picked up the signs and learnt the songs,it is Makaton compatible and not American Sing Language like so many products.I Can't recommend it enough. Buy it.

This is such an amazing DVD! My daughter has been poorly with colds, teething and Bronchitus and this is the ONLY thing that soothed her.
She looks in total amazement at the lady signing and she adores the songs. At 11 months she has already grasped a couple of the signs and its a pleasure to watch the DVD with her.
There is now another DVD, Im online tonight to buy it!!!

We really wanted to sign with our daughter and tried pretty much everything out there, which was slow going and rather frustrating. Then a friend recommended Sing & Sign, so we got the DVD since there were no classes locally. And what a revelation - signing is FUN! Sing & Sign links the teaching of signing to songs, rhymes and games, making it easy to pick up and such a laugh. You almost don't realise you're learning! Our daughter has a huge signing vocabulary now at 16mo and her speech is coming on a storm. Best of all, we can get to the source of any frustration very quickly, without tears or tantrums (eg "teddy" is "under" the sofa or "teeth hurt", "medicine" "please"); we can also see what's going on in her mind (she loves to tell us the "birds" are "all gone") The DVD progresses through the basic signs (more, eat, and so on), with plenty of secondary signs like animals and transport for you to pick up depending on your baby's interests. What's more, it's filmed in a class and out and about, so there are plenty of babies signing and having fun, which your baby will love - it's not a dry dull dictionary like a lot of baby sign products out there. The whole family can use it with ease. You carry the dictionary around in your head because you know the songs, so the signs become second nature and you use them all the time. Miles easier than referring to a book or skipping to the right letter on a dictionary DVD!
Definitely don't waste your money on other signing guides - get Sing & Sign right from the beginning. The DVD is fab to learn from if you don't have classes locally or can't get to them, and a great reference and back-up between lessons if you do. I can't wait to share it with other parents!

Not very helpful for beginners and very short!
