If you are a fanatic on Rocky Horror, this is for you!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sing It! (Audio CD)
I absolutly love this CD. If you are seriously into The Rocky Horror (Picture) Show you will definatly feel the same. The disk has the original backing music to The Rocky Horror Picture Show which you can sing along to. The music doesn't sound like some of the not-very-good midi files you can get on the internet . . . the music is brilliant. It's great for having a sing along to at parties etc. and the up beat rhythems and "full" sound on each track will get everyone joined in. You possibly won't like this disk if you only 'like' The Rocky Horror Show a bit, but if you're a fanatic like me then YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!

"ARE YOU HAVING A PARTY?",
By Martin S. Hennessee "SeeingI" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Sing It! (Audio CD)
Here it is, the "karaoke" version of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." This is just the music tracks from the movie, with background vocals only. Now you too can sing the roles of Frank, Brad, Janet, Riff Raff, or any and all of your favorite characters from the movie. This CD is great for anyone wanting a fun party novelty, or die-hard fans who want to listen REALLY closely to those cool arrangements. And, as a bonus, the CD has 2 tracks not available on the Soundtrack ("Once in a While" and "Planet Schmanet") plus extra verses in "Frankenstein Place" and "Sword of Damocles" that were cut from the movie.

You have been singing along for years: ready to go solo?,
By Lawrance M. Bernabo - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Sing It! (Audio CD)
Yes, you read it right, this is "The Rocky Horror Picture Show: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Minus the Vocal Leads." That means you can now be Riff Raff doing "Science Fiction/Double Feature" and "The Time Warp," Dr. Frank N. Further singing "Sweet Transvestite" or "I'm Going Home," or Janet Veiss (sorry, Weiss) doing "Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me," or Brad Majors (a**hole) doing "Once in a While," which was cut from the finished film (happy to have it, but the orchestration is not as good as what was on the original London cast album). There is another song that was cut from the film, "Planet Schmanet," plus extra verses in "Frankenstein Place" and "Sword of Damocles," so be on your toes people. Keep in mind that all they took off were the vocal leads, so you still have the hired help doing the "Oh Brads" and "Janets" from "Dammit Janet," the chorus work on "Over at the Frankenstein Place," "Time Warp," and the rest. Now, I know that it would be wrong, a very bad thing indeed, but listening to this you are probably going to start having visions of getting your friends together and putting on your own performance of "The Rocky Horror Show." Then again, you might not have enough friends to carry it off, so that might be a problem. But if you have been signing along with "Rocky" for the past couple of decades, whether in the privacy of your own home, in the audience at the midnight show, or even up in front of the stage decked out in your black stockings and matching garter belts, then this is your opportunity to go solo. Are you going to imitate Tim Curry and Meatloaf from the cinematic performances ingrained in your brain, or are you going to strike out on your own and create your own version of Frank and Eddie? Anyhow, this soundtrack minus the lead vocals album is a great idea, perfect for "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Maybe it will catch on and one day we will have similar soundtracks for "Evita," "Moulin Rouge," "Chicago," and classic blasts from the past like "The Sound of Music." About time we had some high-class karaoke albums. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful:

The best!,

Rocky Horror Picture Show Karaoke is the best possible present for all of those who consider themselves number one fans. It is extremely entertaining and gives anyone the chance to sing along with out having to make the audition cut. Fun fun fun! ***** Five stars in my book.
