An even better album than the Broughton's brilliant first album WASA WASA, would you believe. The orginal tapes have been transferred to CD by EMI, with some care this time unlike the pathetic effort of Wasa Wasa(EMI please bring out a decent version of this album instead of BGO, the Broughtons deserve better,my old vinyl copy sounds so much better than the cd BGO brought out under licence). But back to Sing Brother Sing; this is an album full of Edgar's gutsy guitar chords and lead licks which match Edgar's brilliant vocals. Like the first album the band still feed on politics, war and the unjust as themes for their music.Steve Broughton on drums and Arthur Grant on bass make this a very tight outfit who were way ahead of there time, although I wonder how the track Pyscopath would fair in our 'enlightened times'?

Disturbingly good 31 Oct 2001

Format:Audio CD
By far the best Broughton Boys album. The playing is very spikey and it has its own little place in the worlds soundscape.
Its totally weird and wonderful. From catchy dittys to strident wailings it never ceases to amaze. The lyrics and feel are very thought provoking and mildly disturbing. Probably bloody pretentious but who cares.

Originally released on the Harvest Label this was the Edgar Broughton band dong what they do best, the band are obviously enjoying themselves in the studio. The strangled boogie of 'Old Gopher', being one of the highlights of the album. Other songs on the album able along in a non-threatening style but there are none of the highlights like 'Out Demons Out', to really mark this as the best Edgar Broughton Band Album.
