I have held back from awful kids CDs for so long and then tripped over the whole Putumayo thing at Christmas, bought this for my then 2 year old and we have thoroughly enjoyed it as a family, not least his exploits trying to work the sound system to get it on! The songs are fun and funky and catch the kids imagination without driving the adults mad and we adore it. Bananafone is a particular favourite with us all, but there are no songs on this CD I would prefer not to have been! Rare praise. We've now just bought World Playground and I think starting with Sing Along was a great way to get the kids into more adventurous music. Our 7 year old loves both CDs too and their giggles and dancing says more than any poorly written review ever could...

Finally, something we all like to listen to!
My 3-year old insists on listening to one of 'his' CDs when we are travelling in the car, generally the same one over and over again. Since we were given this one, we have heard it non-stop for 3 weeks, and I STILL love the songs. These are great sing-along tunes that even young children will learn quickly, from old favourites (Michael Row the Boat Ashore, You are my Sunshine) to new friends like the Bellybutton Song. The only weak point is 'Love Train' - not the easiest song to sing.
If you've heard more nursery rhymes and train stories than you ever needed to, it's time to buy this CD.

Bought this CD on Amazon after seeing it at a friend's house. My son has loved it from the age of 8 months. He bounces along to the music whenever I switch it on - bopping and clapping. Personal favourites are Bananaphone, Bushel & a Peck and Bling-Blang. They're all so upbeat and happy. Some of the jazzy tunes are perhaps a bit obscure for little people, but the words are easy to hear and great to sing along to.
