I found this a diappointing read. The heroine, an innocent, was far too sexually agressive and the hero was too much of a cad for there to be much real romance. The plot was also silly. The heroine is being pressured into marrying someone she doesn't like so she gets herself seduced by the hero. Her father then forces the hero to marry her instead. They both then end up in North Africa where they are captured by a voyeuristic Bey and forced to have sex with each other.

This was my first Susan Johnson and I found it very enjoyable. It wasn't in the usual romantic style as it is a little dark in places. My only criticism is that the hero although very appealing, becomes slightly annoying as he is almost too flawed. The author is very skillful in her writing however and I will be reading more of her novels.

Susan's work has always beautiful and you can never put it down.. I've read all of her books in print and I can't wait until her next one comes out. Out of all the romance novels I've read Sinjin St. John is the perfect dream man. Even though he has many faults..hes all man..and more important all Chelsea's..If you liked their story you should read about Sinjin's son Beau.... (unplug the phone and pull the shades) I hope she keeps this family line going..As well as the Kuzans...Nikki Alex Apollo...< (Never knew Russia had men that sexy..)
